I Doth Protest Said the Dog

Hi folks
With the upcoming concerts I am beginning to vocalize in earnest—first drill, right before breakfast. Granted it’s not always the prettiest sound at such hours, but Link seems to take greater exception than is warranted (then again I could be wrong)
His brother Bodhi defends me with a few jabs and right crosses here and there, seeming to warn brother Link, ”Bro, remember. . .meat, bones, kibble, just go with it!”
Nonetheless, Link protests till the very end. Even my softest falsetto ticks him off.
Love

  1. Hi Gino–I’m a singer/actress here in South Florida and how can you sound that amazing so early in the morning??!!! I saw you perform in 1978 in Miami and have been a huge fan ever since. I sing with a Motown Cover band at the Seminole Casino and it would be so lovely if you could possibly make it here– I also hope to be a part of your Master songwriting class –please keep me posted!
Such a pleasure to see that you are back on the road! Best of luck always!

  2. Gino, What you have is the stereo doggie principal of the universe. One dog is showing you that impersonation is the sheerest form of flattery. While his canine companion is telling him,”…shhhhhh, Let Dad sing, I’m enjoying it.”

  3. Hey Gino,
Funny !!!! . . . Wonder if they’d join you if you started howling instead ? Well, I loved hearing your soft singing at the end especially.
A short “Hello” from bayou country here in Louisiana. I’m a Psalmist–I write songs to worship God from the Psalms and other scriptures. Psalm song for the day ? taken from Psalm 59 :16 and 17 :
“But as for me, I will sing of your power. Each morning I will sing of your unfailing love . For you are my refuge, a place of safety, to you oh God I sing my praises !!!!”
Wish I could have uploaded it here for you to hear, but maybe if you read the verses , you’ll hear something different to sing !!!
God bless you and yours !!

  5. listening to music today while doing some cleaning about the place, and forgot I had downloaded ” Storm at Sun up ” from Cd to player, any way, had not listen to that in a long time.. wore out two 8 tracks of this back in 70’s… my first and still all time favorite album….any way, glad I found this site today… I love all music. But Yours Dear Sir is Special… Your still the Best! .. Thanks for all of it…and do not stop! Have a Great Day

  6. Gino–long-term musician and dog lover here. ROTFLMAO! I had a Samoyed for 15+ years and she used to “sing” like that sometimes. Love your dogs, man! So cute! Thanks for posting this. Pete

  7. Hello Gino, I’ve been a huge fan since I first discovered you when I was in college in the early eighties. I cannot thank you enough for providing that link that allowed one to download the scores of 30 of your songs. I believe I read that you are planning to release more this year. I found that link last year in December so I imagine if you are indeed planning to release more it will probably be in December like last year. I sincerely hope so. It’s virtually impossible to find your charts in a music store. If you do release more charts on a link(Please, please do so)could you include “Tender Lies” ? Thanks so much. Waiting patiently for your next album. Bob Carr

  8. Hi Gino, so happy I found you again. I am trying to justify to my friends, that I saw you perform back in the 70’s or early 80’s (cant remember the year, but I got the concert program…somewhere in my house)at the Forum in Inglewood, CA.
Can you or any of your fans out there vouch this fact?
I look forward to seeing you Feb 2017 in Pasadena, CA.

  9. Hi Gino
I first saw you in the mid ’70s in Sarasota, FL, You came up out of the stage floor playing a white grand piano, from that moment on I was a dedicated fan. We saw you in October in Pittsburgh and will see you in March at Dosey Doe in Houston. Hoping you will sing your original songs but was wondering if you ever add Valhalla, Mardi Gras or Falicia to your lineup?
I’m fighting my third bout of cancer and my bucket list is pretty small, we’ve paid for the meet and greet, I’m hoping you will allow me to have my picture taken with you? I’ll keep my fingers crossed..
Good luck on your upcoming concerts, travel safely.

  10. Such handsome pups and man can Link sing!
A poet without a dog to share it all with would be a lonely soul indeed.

  11. I find you to be a most fascinating individual, and your music is beyond words. Liked your music from the very beginning but only recently have gotten to know you better through your posts. You have aged very nicely.
