Hi everybody,
Here are two more historic items Gino is willing to part with for the Christian relief fund (100% of proceeds)
The first is Gino’s nylon string guitar he purchased when he was 18. Quite a bit of history behind it: He wrote his entire first album, Crazy Life, on it. He also wrote most of the Powerful People record on it, including his first hit, People Gotta Move. This was the nylon-string guitar he used to audition for Herb Alpert in1972, that landed him his first major record contract with A&M Records.
The second item is Gino’s black and gold Yamaha GS electric guitar. It is in absolute mint condition. The history is as follows: Gino bought in1980 and subsequently wrote the entire Black Cars record and Big Dreamers Never Sleep on it. It was the guitar featured on the album tracks as well.
So folks, the drive will begin very shortly. Stay tuned.
love to all
Ryan
One Comment on “Gino auctioning guitars for charity”
Hello to everyone. Three summer ago I had the great privilege of winning an audition with Mr. Vannelli for his week-long vocal music workshop which he conducted while recovering from an ear injury. His insight and professionalism made him a valuable teacher, and I hope that one day I might have another opportunity to study with him (“Big dreamers never sleep.” GV) I would like to place a bid of $2500.for the acoustic guitar being auctioned for charity. I am sure the bidding will go much, much higher. This is just a starting place and way for me to send greetings and warm wishes, to pay my respect. With great respect and great love, Ann Carter
