As anticipation grows for the worldwide release of Gino Vannelli’s ‘Live In La’ DVD / CD on May 13, 2014, Live Rock Journal has released the first review of the DVD.
“After a quick fade to the interior of the Saban Theatre, Vannelli is thrusting his hips to the pulse of “Nightwalker”, the opening song. Immediately evident are the high production values, providing the viewer with every angle of the stage that could possibly be desired.”
Gino Vannelli ‘Live In LA’ will be available on DVD and CD worldwide via SRG on May 13th.

I pre ordered the DVD and CD. Both are a “must” for Gino’s fans. They’re fantastic. A very enjoyable concert. Everything is perfect. The audio and image quality, the edition, the inside booklet’s art, the song’s selection, the funny and reflective stories Gino tells, the musicians, watching Joe playing again with his brother, after so many years, the interviews, the videos (The version of “Canto” is spectacular)… and Ross’ magic, silent but vital part of the whole thing (I know the importance of your job).
When an artist puts his heart and soul in what he does, we as audience, can feel it. It’s not just the huge talent, it goes beyond. Gino has the abbility to get into our spirit, move it and take it to heaven with his performances.
I hope to see you soon again. Maru Camilli. Mexico City.

Greetings from Mexico.
Waiting VERY patiently for you to come to Philly…see you then!! Can’t wait! Be well..
Just ordered the DVD and CD. Can’t wait until it arrives. Also, from the Philly area, I hope Gino’s tour does make a tour stop in Philly.
I also noticed that on the Gino’s BIO page, http://ginov.com/bio/, my dad, Charlie Ventura (saxophonist) is pictured with Gino along with Gene Krupa, who my dad used to tour with. What a great picture.
Wow! What a great discovery for you. I hope Gino plays Philly too. I have a sister near there.
Just ordered the DVD!
It didn’t say how it will be shipped or gave any kind of time frame to receive…anyone have an answer?
I’m in Seattle, Wa.
Thanks
Hi! Don’t you worry. They give no reply, but your merchandise arrives safe and in perfect condition. I wrote to them at least three times, and got no answer; but one day, the package was in my mail box. It took some weeks, because I preordered them, and I knew shipping was going to begin ’till March. But they’re trustworthy.
Greetings from Mexico City

I JUST SAW GINO AND HIS BAND LAST WEDNESDAY AT THE AUDITORIO NACIONAL AND HE ABSOLUTELLY SEDUCED THE AUDIENCE. IT WAS A GREAT NIGHT! NOTHING’S COMPARABLE TO A GINO CONCERT!
GREETINGS FROM MEXICO CITY.
I have been previleged to see Mr. Vannelli now twice in Mexico City: first back in 1991 at the Fiesta Americana Hotel (exclusive venue) where he was accompanied by his brother Joe (virtuoso synth player/engineer/producer) and three additional outstanding musicians; and last night at the “Auditorio Nacional” (sold-out, close to 10 thousand vivid fans). Absolutely amazing!! I take my hat off to Mr. Vanelli who looks younger and sounds better than ever, surrounded by an entourage of enthusiastic and fine musicians.
I look forward to hearing and seeing your Live in L.A. CD/DVD.
Hasta pronto Mr. Vannelli, Mexico City awaits your triumphant return in the not so distant future. Dios lo bendiga!
Gino!
Sorry to sound like a well grooved record…but I’ve followed your work for years & years. And loved every minute of it. Your music is like a drink of water…it refreshes and restores me. The first song I enjoyed quenched a thirst I never knew I had. I’ll never gotten my fill since. I enjoy hearing the ‘popular’ tunes, but there’s SO much more you’ve done that we never hear about in the popular media…don’t really need to see it ‘out there’. Just so long as you keep filling the well…
