Jeff Pike, a singer/songwriter and longtime masterclass participant, often spoke of doing an album project together. When the pandemic hit, what better time to hunker down, dig deep and see what lay in wait, waiting to be discovered. Right Where I Am is an album filled with tunes I have written over the years, in some ways re-invented and unmasked for what they truly are. With no nagging thought of designing the music for any specific audience or medium, I let the record take on a life of its own, just responding to creative impulse.
The project was a departure and bit of a leap in the dark for Jeff, but he rose to the occasion and delivered heartfelt, tuneful and honest vocals. Hope you guys enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed bringing these songs to light again.
