Firstly, thank you. After such a long time (almost 3 and half years) it was a most welcome sight to see your lit up faces.
To be honest with you, I was a little unsure about a couple of things, most importantly, could I sing for almost two hours, most songs in the original key, especially after the wear and tear of 10-12 hours of travel from clear across the farthest end corner of America and offer you my best. In theory, after months of constant vocalizing, cardio, etc, I figured I’d most likely be fine, but the truth was yet to be determined until after the concerts.
I was pleasantly amazed at how easy it all was and how the chords felt just fine, in fact maybe better than ever. I felt an uncomplicated chill of deep contentment run through me throughout the two concerts. Right after the second show in Clearwater, as I was walking off stage, I whispered to Rick Sands, our agent, “go ahead and book more concerts. . .”
So, we will be back out this fall.
As for the moment, it’s back to the new record (The Life I Got) that is due for release this summer.
Again, thank you all.
See you soon
Love
G

  1. Gino….gotta tell you that you absolutely killed it in Clearwater! I got to say hi to Damian and the guys at the sushi place next door to the theater and they were very gracious and accommodating. I hope you might publish a video about the original chart for Love of My Life and compare the insane and totally awesome version you did in Clearwater.

    1. Was unable to make Florida concert. Jeff and I will be at your Brown theater concert this Sept. In Kentucky. Sooo happy it’s time for Big smiling faces Gino you always do that for your fans. 🎶🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️🌹🌹

  2. I attended the Ft.Lauderdale show.
Good overall mix. Great new arrangements of some of the times.
    Suggestions:
When you play acoustic guitar…do more than 1 tune.
When you go out this fall , charge a little more and take 2 girl singers. Great show, fan since 70.

  3. You were worth the wait. A terrific show in Clearwater. Brought back lots of good memories so thank you for that. I only wish the band, as good as they were, were a bit less loud as at times they drowned out your voice. And it was your voice I came for. Glad to know you enjoyed yourself too and that it sounds like we’ll be seeing more of you in the future.

  4. Thank you for the incredibly beautiful show in Clearwater! Hope you could feel all the love ❤️that evening. Please come back soon!

  9. Fortuna che si trattava di solita routine!! Vero Gino! Ti hanno forzato a fare i concerti vero? Comunque sei bravo e ancora puoi dare molto, volendo puoi dare molto anche a me.

  10. I enjoyed the Clearwater show tremendously! I’d love it if you re recorded those old songs with your new changes! Timeless! It was awesome to see you having fun too! You are the best!

  11. Gino Vanelli your music is awesome! BUT Why O Why play in Florida or anywhere in The South including TX GA SC TN IN IA LA ?! Pay attention to the news NOT Fixed Noise or anything associated with the rich and republicants or religious. The Little Sisters of the Poor are terrorists like isis and the taliban. The Southern States are ALL terrorists bigots racists fascist pro-white anti immigrant anti black mass murderers child rapists sedition treason arrogant narcissist hate destruction etc. No different from Nazis 1930s and Salem Witch Trials and racists 1861 meaning all republicants and their friends families voters supporters. Republicans are a disease!!! Stay away from all republicans their friends families voters supporters. Don’t like thee truth well FYOU republucants and their voters supporters families friends!!!!

  14. Dear Gino
It was wonderful to finally hear you live! It was an amazing concert…worth the wait. I was also at the sound check/meet and greet. I had you sign a 45rpm of Omens of Love and I gave you a gift. I hope you liked it. You are a very special and kind human being. It was a very special night for me. Thank you
    Lesley

  15. Gino: saw you in Ft. Lauderdale. Great show as always. First saw you at the Colonial Tavern in Toronto in the early ’70s and have been a fan ever since. All the best to you and your family. Will be seeing Patrick Lamb at his show in Boca Raton in May.

  16. Dear Gino,

Sadly, I missed the Clearwater concert which I was so looking forward to attending. I was sick with bronchitis. I hope you come back to Clearwater very soon. When I read the blog about your new version of Love of My Life, I thought what did I miss! That’s one of my very favorite songs from my favorite album. Wishing you return to Clearwater sooner than 3.5 years!
    Long time fan, Christine Mattana

  17. Dear Gino Sir,

I’ve been a loyal fan of your music since the 70’s and have always hoped for an opportunity to see in person. Unfortunately for decades my life has been for family and jobs with no real chance to attend any nearby concerts by you. Your two successful shows a few weeks ago in Florida provided much hope you would return touring again. My wife and I live in North Carolina and we’re really hoping you schedule a show in one of our many fine venues so we might attend and fulfill my dream of seeing in concert one of all time favorite artists. Please consider my request if at all possible.
    God Bless &
    Sincerely,
    Steven Downing

  18. So glad to hear you’re on the road again…. Please, please come to the Philadelphia area. So much want to see you.

  19. Don´t forget Europe Gino😎, you were supposed to perform in Denmark 2022 and we had tickets but suddenly it was cancelled😢…we´re still waiting, my friend has never seen a live concert with you and I really wanted him to enjoy you on stage🤩👍🏻…Pleeease😘❤!!

  20. So glad to hear you are are touring again. I hope to see you in L.A. It would be great if you can come to Santa Rosa, Luther Burbank Center. It is a great venue. C

  21. I was right there in the 8th row in Ft Lauderdale for your triumphant return to the stage! You signed my albums Gist of the Gemini and Pauper in Paradise! Amazing as usual as I have had the pleasure of seeing you in concert multiple times starting with Inconsolable Man tour! Sadly I lost my father this year! Words cannot express my sorrow! He and my mother met while singing opera in college! I’ve loved your voice since I first started listening to you in the mid 70’s! Of course I wanted my father to approve of your voice so I had him listen to many of your songs! He was not a negative man but if he approved he would tell you! Two months before he passed I played him Parole Per Mio Padre and he said it was beautiful! I had them play that during his funeral! It was so cathartic to me and my family as I translated it to them! My mother thought it was Andrea Bocceli! I corrected her lovingly! Thank you for this beautiful anthem!

  22. Happy to see that you started touring again! I saw you once in The Netherlands, must be 20 years ago I guess but I remember every second of it. Hoped to see you again in 2021 but Corona spoiled it. I hope you will visit your ‘second home-country’ soon for one or more concerts; I’ll be there!

  23. Hi Gino,
Two of the best concerts i’ve ever seen were yours in a small theater in Marseille (long Time ago with Alain caron….)
Would you pleaseeee come to France for your 2023/24 tour?
    You’re great !
    Thanks
    Eric

  24. I was at the Clearwater show Mar 7/24. It was good. Been a fan for 50 yrs. Surprised at the number of songs I didn’t know. Not sure if they were new or what. No comparison to those and the hits he did not perform. Why he wouldn’t play one of his top hits Black Cars is beyond me. We were quite disappointed.

  25. I attended the Meet & Greet and the performance in Clearwater. Your voice and the precision of your band melted the years away since I saw you last. I missed the strong female backup singers; however, the show did not disappoint. It was everything I expected and more! Safe travels and keep bringing great music to us in the years to come.
